Gregory Lamont Brokemond is an East Chicago native and graduate of East Chicago Central High School. Gregory has always been interested in dance as far back as he can remember. He started performing for his family as a child, and eventually for friends in the high school talent shows and community events. He taught his first class at a dance in Roxanna at the age of 15. It was then that he discovered his love for teaching. He began to study dance and choreography more seriously after his two appearances at The Apollo Theatre, once as an amateur act and a second time as an invited guest performer.

Gregory soon started choreographing musical stage plays written and directed by Mr. Leon Kendrick, founder of the Celestial Voices. In doing so gained him lots of professional experience. Gregory studied ballet, tap, and jazz at MV Dance Studio.  Gregory has also choreographed dance competition pieces for various schools. Gregory has performed for and with many great artists such as Mavis Staples, Kirk Franklin, Mary Mary, Trinity 57, Ray Bady, Euclid Gray, and his all time favorite, getting the opportunity to perform for the late Michael Jackson. Gregory had the honor of choreographing for Windsor Village United Methodist Church for there Annual Worship and Arts Conference (Houston), Greater Allen Cathedral (New York), Gathering of the Eagles Summit (Houston) and Dance the Word Worship Conference (Memphis).

Gregory is now Creative and Fine Arts director at Greater Destiny Bible Church in East Chicago, Indiana, where he is sharing his gifts of dance and mime as well as all of his knowledge and professional experiences with young dancers, preparing them with a working knowledge of what it truly means to minister the gospel of Jesus the Christ using the arts of dance and mime.
